Railway station.
DAY 01 / WEDNESDAY/ DELHI: |
Your lifetime journey on the Palace on Wheels starts from the Delhi Cant. Railway Station at 1500 hrs, where the guests are accorded with a warm, traditional welcome. Dinner is served onboard and you are on the way to Chittaurgarh.
DAY 02 / THRUSDAY / CHITTAURGARH |
Arrival: 06.30 hrs. Departure 09.15 Hrs
The pride of Chittor, the Chittorgarh fort is a massive structure with many gateways. Perched on a 180 m high hill, it sprawls over 700 acres. The chhatris within are impressive reminders of the Rajput heroism. The main gates are Padal Pol, Bhairon Pol, Hanuman Pol and Ram Pol. The fort has many magnificent monuments, which are fine examples of the Rajput architecture. The ancient ruins of the fort are worth spending few moments in solitude. After visiting Chittorgarh, you start your journey for Udaipur.
Arrival UDAIPUR: 12.15 Hrs
On arrival at Udaipur you transfer for lunch. Later visit City Palace, boating in Lake Pichola, see Shilpgram and Royal Gardens. After visiting Udaipur, you star your journey for Junagarh.
DAY 03 / FRIDAY / JUNAGARH |
Arrival: 14.00 hrs. Departure 16.00 Hrs
Junagarh, a very famous destination. You visit Ashokan Rock Edict of 3rd century BC, Darbar Hall Museum and Mausoleum of Nawab Mahabat Khanji. After visiting Junagarh, you start your journey for Veraval.
Arrival Veraval: 18.00 Hrs
In Vereval visit Somnath, the famous Shiva Temple on the shore of Arabian Sea.
Shree Somnath is first among the twelve Aadi Jyotirlings of India. The temple is built at the shore of the Arebian ocean on the western corner of Indian subcontinent. This pilgrimage is one of the oldest and find its reference in the ancient texts like Skandpuran, Shreemad Bhagvat, Shivpuran etc.
After visiting Veraval, you start your journey for Sesangir
DAY 04 / SATURDAY / SESANGIR |
Arrival: 06.30 hrs. Departure 11.30 Hrs
Morning the Royal Orient reaches Sesangir, visit Lion sanctuary.
Arrival DILWARA: 14.30 Hrs
In Dilwara visit St. Paul Church and the famous Dilwara Temple. After visiting temple, you start your journey for Palitana.
DAY 05 / SUNDAY / PALITANA |
Arrival: 07.40 hrs. Departure: 12.30 Hrs
In Palitana Sightseeing tour and trekking to 863 Jain temples of Palitana atop the Shatrunjaya Hills. The Palitana temples are considered the most sacred pilgrimage place (tirtha) by the Jain community. There are more than 1300 temples located on the Shatrunjaya hills, exquisitely carved in marble. The main temple on top of the hill, is dedicated to 1st tirthankar lord Adinath (Rishabdeva). Later you start your journey for Sarkhej.
Arrival SARKHEJ: 1905 Hrs
From Sarkhej you start your overnight jouney to Ahmedabad by luxury bus.
DAY 06 / MONDAY / AHMEDABAD |
Departure: 14.05 Hrs
Morning visit Gandhi Ashram, Calico Textile Museum and Sidi Aayyad's Mosque. After visiting Ahmedabad, you board the Royal Orient again and start your journey for Jaipur.
DAY 07 / TUESDAY / JAIPUR |
Arrival:11.15 hrs. Departure 21.30 Hrs
Elephants and a Shehnai recitation greet you at your arrival at the pink city of Jaipur. In Jaipur first you visit Amber fort and enjoy Elephant ride via Hawa Mahal. Later visit the Jantar Mantar (the largest observatory built by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh) and City Palace. After visiting Jaipur, you start your journey for Jaipur.
DAY 08 / WEDNESDAY / DELHI |
Arrival 07.40 Hrs
The luxury train arrives at Delhi Cantt. Railway station in the morning. And here your unforgettable journey comes to its conclusion.
