VISITING: DELHI - HARIDWAR - RISHIKESH - SHIVPURI - DELHI

DAY 01: DELHI

Arrive New Delhi.
Assistance on arrival and transfer to your hotel. Check-in time is 12 noon.

Delhi as the capital of India Delhi is the seat of administration and the monuments which tell the saga of a bygone era stand there. These icons are testimony to the grandeur of past and also an attraction for the tourists. With an area of 1483 sq. Kms, Delhi is all set to acquire full statehood. The charm of Delhi has attracted Emperors, Conquerors and poor in equally. It is correctly said that Delhi is a land of ‘Dilwalas’ or for people with heart. This phrase acquires a true colour when one goes around the lanes of Delhi. Delhi– a window to the kaleidoscope that is India. From a string of historical monuments to modern commercial centers, Delhi has evolved into an exceptional and dynamic destination offering a wealth of shopping and sightseeing activities. Tourism in Delhi has undergone a sea change in recent times as the city is in the process of a steady makeover.

DAY 02: DELHI

Morning guided city sightseeing tour of Old Delhi visiting – the Red Fort – one of the magnificent places of the East with Divan-I-Aam where once stood the jeweled Peacock Throne, and the graceful Pearl Mosque, Jama Masjid which is considered the biggest in India, Chandni Chowk – a typical Bazaar with narrow lanes and traditional traders Raj Ghat where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated.

Afternoon guided city sightseeing tour of New Delhi visiting War Memorial Arch-India Gate, Parliament House, Qutub Minar-built in 12th century and Humayun’s  Tomb.
Overnight at your hotel.


DAY 03: DELHI – HARIDWAR – RISHIKESH BY SURFACE (250 KMS / 7 HRS)

Morning proceed to Rishikesh enroute visiting Haridwar and transfer to your ashram.
Haridwar or ‘the Gateway to the Gods’ is one of the seven holiest places according to Hindu mythology, as the Gods are believed to have left their footprints in Haridwar. Due to its geographical location too, Haridwar stands as the gateway to the other three important pilgrimages of Uttrakhand namely, Rishikesh, Badrinath and Kedarnath. Referred to as Mayapuri, Gangadwar, and Mokshadwar in the ancient scriptures and epics, Haridwar has always remained a major pilgrimage for the Hindus.
Rishikesh is a peaceful town and is also one of the holiest towns of India. There is a mystical air about the place. A famous centre for yoga (mystical and spiritual training) and meditation, the town is dotted with numerous ashrams which offer yoga and meditation courses. A few of the ashrams in and around Rishikesh are like Muni Ki Reti Mahesh Yogi Ashram, Parmarth Ashram, Shanti Kunj Maa Anand Mai Ashram, etc.

Later spent on briefing of day routine.

DAY 04 to DAY 07 / RISHIKESH (ASHRAM)

DAY 08: RISHIKESH – SHIVPURI BY SURFACE (20 KMS / 30 MIN)

Morning proceed to Shivpuri enroute visiting countryside and transfer to Camp.

After a welcome drink & acclimatization briefing about the whole schedule. Later in afternoon jungle walk in the reserve forest around the camp.

Overnight in camp.


DAY 09: SHIVPURI

Early morning wake up for Yoga Class followed by relaxation of body & mind. After Yogic breakfast drive to Byasi/Kaudiyala for rafting upto Shivpuri.

Overnight in camp.


DAY 10: SHIVPURI

Early morning wake up for one and half hour drive to Hindolakhal and further trek to Kunjapuri. The trek goes through thick forest till you reach the top i.e. Kunjapuri. After exploring the area for some time, join he class for Asanas, relaxation & meditation.Witness the sunrise on Greater Himalayan peaks and afterwards trace your steps back to camp.

Evening free for relaxation and enjoy nature walk. Overnight in camp.


DAY 11: SHIVPURI – DELHI

Early morning advance Yoga class with question answer session helping in assessment of change in personality during the course. After breakfast raft down from Shivpuri to Rishikesh assessing leadership qualities, team spirit and training for rescue.

Later proceed to Delhi enroute visiting countryside and transfer to your hotel.

Evening free for independent activities. Overnight at your hotel.


DAY 09: KOVALAM – TRIVANDRUM

Morning drive to Trivandrum enroute visiting countryside. Later guided city sightseeing tour.
Trivandrum, now called Thiruvananthapuram, is the capital of Kerala, the ‘God’s own country.’ Located at the southwestern tip of India, the city is bordered by the Arabian Sea on the west and Tamil Nadu on the east. The place is home to some of the most enchanting picnic spots, a long shoreline, with internationally renowned beaches, historic monuments, backwater stretches and a rich cultural heritage. All these go a long way in making this place a much sought-after-tourist destination.
Kovalam Beach, Padmanabha Swamy Temple, Kuthiramalika Palace Museum, the Napier Museum, Sree Chitbra Art Gallery are some of the famous tourist attractions here.

DAY12: DELHI OUT

Transfer to airport in time to board flight for onward destination. Check-out time is 12 noon
