Overview

Day: 1: Arrival – Airport / Chilaw / Wariyapola / Sigiirya
Upon arrival meeting at the Airport and continue drive to Chiloaw. Upon arrival visit Manavari which is situated on the Chilaw – Puttalam road about 10 km from Chilaw. Manavari is the first lingam installed and prayed by Lord Rama and till date this lingam is called as Ramalinga Shivan.
Lord Rama after his victorious battle left for Ayodhya in one of King Ravana’s vimana’s. He felt he was being followed by bramhaasthi dosham as he had killed King Ravana who was a Brahmin. He stops the vimana at this juncture because he felt at this place the “Brahmaasthi Dosham” was not following him. He ascends from the vimana and asks God Shiva for a remedy. God Shiva blessed Lord Rama and advised installing and praying four lingams at Manavari, Thiru Koneshwaram, Thiru Ketheshwaram and Rameshwaram in India, as the only remedy to get rid of the dosham.
Proceed to Wariyapola where one of more than 5 airports believed to have been used by King Ravana and his mighty army to land and take off their “Pushpakavimanam “ Then proceed to Sigiriya Upon arrival Check-In into Hotel. Overnight at Hotel. (D)

Day : 2: Sigiriya/ climb Sigiriya Rock /Polonnaruwa
After breakfast possible to Climb the Sigiriya Rock. famous for its historical Sigiriya Rock Fortress which is over 1000 years old and has landscaped gardens, water fountains, a sanctuary, and frescoes of the heavenly maidens of Sigiriya.
Afternoon an excursion to Polonnaruwa where you will see many well-preserved ruins of palaces and monasteries. Return to hotel for an overnight stay. (B)

Day : 3:  Sigiriya/ Dambulla Cave Temple / Muthumariamman Temple in Matale/Nalanda Gedige/Kandy Temple + Cultural Dance Show
After Breakfast leave towards Kandy. Visist the ancient Dambulla cave complex also known as the Royal Golden Rock Cave Temple.
Evening arrives at the hotel in Kandy, Kandy has a rich history. It was originally known as Senkadagala pura after a hermit named Senkada who lived there.
Enjoys a Cultural Dance. Then visit the most sacred Buddhist establishment in Sri Lanka – the Temple of Tooth at the evening ceremony. Overnight at Hotel. (B)

Day : 4: Kandy/Peradeniya Botanical Garden/Nuwara Eliya via Ramboda/Visits Seetha Amman Temple/Gayathri Temple
After Breakfast visit visit the royal botanical gardens of Peradeniya which is well known for its large number and variety of plants, ornamental, Decorative, Useful & medicinal.
Proceed to Nuwara Eliya, en route visit Ravanagoda commonly known as Sri Baktha Hanuman Temple It is a place where Sitadevi stayed during her transit. This area is also linked with tunnels and caves, which runs through to other parts of King Ravana’s kingdom.
Late Afternoon, arrive Nuwara Eliya visit Seetha Amman Temple About a century ago of three idols were discovered in the stream, one of which was that of Sita. It is believed that the idols have been worshipped at this spot for centuries. Visit Gayathri Peetam This is believed to be the place where King Ravanas son Meghanath propitiated lord Shiva with penance and pooja’s and in turn was granted super natural powers by Lord Shiva. This is the first and the foremost temple build for Gayathri Amman in Sri Lanka, and the Shiva Lingam found in this temple was brought from the Holy River Narmada.

Day : 5: Nuwara Eliya/ Horton Plains / Train Ride to Ella/ Ravana Water Fall in Ella
After Breakfast, get ready and leave for Horton Plains & enjoy the trekking at Horton Plains, is a national park in the highlands of Sri Lanka. It lies at a height of more than 2000 m in the central highlands, and its altitude means that it has a much cooler and windier climate than the lowlands of Sri Lanka. This is the only National Park in Sri Lanka in which visitors are allowed to walk.
After that, leave by vehicle to Nanu Oya and from Nanu Oya station go by train to Ella, as per the availability of the trains. The fascinating two and half hours Ride passes through tea estates and the misty hills of the Central Highlands. You will see tea estates, villages, and local people including tea leaf puckers on your epic journey. This is one of the great rail journeys of Asia. Proceed to Hotel by Vehicle. Relaxation at the Hotel. Overnight at hotel in Ella.

Day : 6: Ella Visits + Ravana Water Fall/Kataragama / Tissamaharama
After Breakfast discover Ella with the visit of Ravana Falls & Rawana Caves The popular Ravana Cave, located up a steep track from the Ravana Temple close to Ella is famous for its legendary association with the Ramayana story.
Ussangoda provides a panoramic view of the beach and the sea. The extent of this place is approximately 20 acres and very little grows on the barren red earth.
Proceed to Tissamaharama . En route visit the Kataragama Temple a unique Murukan temple amongst all the temples in Sri Lanka. Overnight at Hotel in Tissamaharama.

Day : 7: Tissamaharama/Dickwella / Galle / Bentota
After Breakfast, travel for a half Day safari in the Yala National Park and enjoy the wilderness as you
cruise around in a jeep.
Continuation to Bentota Stop at Galle to visit Rumasela.
At different points of time during the war both Lord Rama and Lakshmana were hit by powerful arrows,
fell unconscious and to bring them back to life Lord Hanuman was instructed to fetch the lifesaving
herbs from Himalaya. This is one of those places. Proceed to Bentota Overnight at Hotel.
